|
Bitumen is used in road applications because it is water-repellent and adheres to aggregates which are mostly hydrophilic in nature. Stripping is the loss of adhesion between aggregates and bitumen. The basic causes for stripping are decreased structural support, rutting, shoving/corrugations, raveling, or cracking (fatigue and longitudinal) and moisture seepage.

Antistripping Agent is an amine based formulation that easily mixes with the Bitumen and improves its characteristics to adhere firmly to the aggregates even in presence of moisture. |
